Coaching isn't therapy and doesn't substitute for it. If what's heaviest right now needs clinical care, a licensed professional is the right person, and I'll say so in the intro call if that's what I'm hearing.
How it works
Before we meet you take the Clarity Assessment and a kickoff worksheet that asks for two versions of your goal: the one you say out loud and the one that's actually true. In the session we settle the real one, set your baseline scores, and name your escape routes so they stop working.
Every other week, sixty minutes. First we separate what you want from what you think you should want. Then we map the specific loop that's kept you in place — trigger, story, payoff — and break it on purpose. Around week six you retake the assessment and we compare it to your baseline: evidence, not vibes.
Weekly commitments, small and specific, tracked on paper. Between every session you have voice and email support, because the real work happens between calls and you're not doing it alone. We close with a completion review: all three score readings side by side, the promises you kept, the pattern then versus now.
You leave with the tools, the record, and a decision: keep the cadence solo, join the Inner Circle for a monthly rhythm, or take a clean break. No pressure in any direction. A clean ending is the best outcome there is.
Because insight is fast and change is slow. One good conversation can name the pattern; it takes weeks of kept promises to outvote it. Three months is long enough for the cadence to become yours and short enough to stay urgent.
Fifteen years as an educator and a coach, concurrently. I'm not ICF-certified and I won't pretend otherwise — what I bring is pattern recognition from years of working with people who are capable and stuck, a framework I created for exactly that, and a habit of saying the true thing. If certification matters to you, I'd rather you know now.
Therapy often works on healing what happened; coaching works on building what's next. I don't diagnose or treat anything. Plenty of my clients see a therapist too; the work is complementary, not competing.
Ten minutes of prep before each call, one small weekly commitment you chose yourself, and honesty when it wobbles. If you can't find that, the program isn't the bottleneck.
The midpoint review exists exactly for that: your kickoff and current scores side by side, and an honest conversation about aiming the back half differently. Changing the plan at halftime isn't quitting. It's coaching.
